The bubbles in the water providing some hidden leading lines towards the trees and the hills bathed in sunlight

The waves added quite a nice texture in the foregound. I've darkened the sky to push the focus towards the subject.
The reservoir in the shot is 'Yeoman Hey' and further below on the right, you'll find 'Dovestone' reservoir.
Further along this pathway is another reservoir, I understand is 'Greenfield' Reservoir.'
The source of the water comes from the trees in the background, which obscure the actual source itself.
A fresh flow of water coming from an unidentifiable source.
The long shadows created by the sun positioned low in the winter sky.

Unfortunately, the pathway ahead was closed off.

With visability low, I've attempted to capture that, with minimal objects in my composition
For the majority of my walk, this lone tree was visible.
With very little visibility, this flow of water, looked to be coming from the clouds
The further I walked, the later it got, the foggier it became
I've used a portrait format here to indicate the invisible height of the hill tops
I've framed this composition in landscape to display the reach of the reservoir
The sailing club against the visability of the invisible due to the fog
The lone tree against an unclear background
As I walked towards the path heading to the reservoir. I spotted a group of people at the top edge of the reservoir.
